I know that I am a very conservative and strict parent. I have problems with issues that other folks would normally turn a blind eye to. But I believe it is all with good cause and reason.
YES, I am the parent who would protest and return the gifts that relatives/friends have given that are emblazoned with "THE BRATZ" logo. I refuse to support, display, or buy a product that is marketed to little girls and has clothing that I would not put on my own children. The BRATZ dolls are not the only product that I boycott. Barbie and other dolls have crossed that imaginary line as well. I am a firm believer that it is such products that slowly chip away at preserving the childhood of our girls. Is it too much to ask for a doll that does not encourage being pregnant, super, super thin, dressed like a hooker???
AND THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO COME OUT WITH A CLOTHING LINE TOO!!!
The clothing (along with the attitude of parents) assist "MONSTER TOY COMPANIES" in glamorizing dressing like strippers/sluts-in-training. There are even parents who think this is cute.
Is the type of example we want our little girls??? If that is the case, why don't we just start shopping at the stores strippers do and get the whole outfits, shoes and all!!!
My friends joke with me and say that I'll have "Drama Princess" wearing pigtails and hair bows when she is 30 years old.
That is not true, maybe till she is 21years old, we'll see......

I'm the "weird" parent myself who also can't stand all the whore stuff that's marketed to girls. What's next? Vibrators and dildos?
Why is it that the few brands that I do buy cost a fortune? Ralph Lauren, Hanna Andersson, etc. aren't too bad for one kid, but I have three. You used to be able to go the JC Penney for some "clothing basics", but now it just looks like the cheap whore store.
And mine don't have Bratz either. They have Barbies, but only because someone else gave them to the girls as gifts. But it makes me feel better that Barbie's head usually ends up separated from her body (supposedly easier to dress??), and she ends up hanging headless and nude in my Confederate Jasmine or Azaleas.
